The thermal modification process enhances the timber’s durability and resistance to moisture, decay and insect attack without the use of chemical treatments. This made it particularly well suited to a healthcare environment, where long‑term performance, reliability and low maintenance are essential to minimising lifecycle costs and operational disruption.

The specification called for responsible sourcing while maintaining the visual quality and performance expected of a prominent civic building. Being PEFC® certified, Vincent Timber’s Radiata Pine aligned perfectly with the project’s sustainability objectives. It offers a responsible alternative to tropical hardwoods and contributs to reducing environmental impact.
